The journey in the building industry began in Phoenix, where Roger roofed houses while attending college, working for a prominent contracting firm. He also gained valuable experience in sales, apartment leasing, and new home sales.
In 1996, Loretta joined Roger after graduating from ASU. They both worked for the same home builder until 2005, with Roger serving as VP of Sales and Loretta as Design Center Manager.
Building the Business
They moved to Flagstaff in 2005, and Roger continued working for a local builder until he achieved his general contractor's license. In February 2007, they proudly launched their own building company, MPower Building and Design. Through MPower, they:
- Built spec homes and custom homes
- Flipped and remodeled properties for ourselves and our clients
- Self-performed roof installations, giving us hands-on roofing experience
They've now returned to their roots, focusing primarily on the roofing side of general contracting.

Roger holds a Residential & Commercial KB-2 General Contractor's License. Deeply Rooted in Flagstaff
They've been full-time residents of Flagstaff for 20 years, raising their family and building the business right here in this community. Their son was born in Mesa, AZ, and now attends NAU, while their daughter was born right here in Flagstaff at FMC and attends BASIS Flagstaff.
